Intellum Release Notes | 2024
Outline
October 1 🎃
- Various bugs squashed and minor improvements made to ensure Intellum continues to provide you with the best possible experience.
September 24
Update Learners Have More Options for Following Topics (Intellum Platform - Update)
- It’s now easier for learners to modify which topics they follow. The “Edit Topics” link , now visible on the user’s profile page next to the “Topics Followed” button, opens a modal that lists available parent topics. Each parent topic can be expanded to show sub-topics and the user can select which to follow.
Learn more about Topics in the Intellum Platform.
Gamification Credential Images
- The default images for credentials was previously pulled from the default organization, rather than the one associated with the award. This issue has been resolved so the credential image respects the org for which the user is logged in.
September 17
New Minimum Number of Answers for Generative Assessments (Intellum Labs - Update)
- When generating AI assessment questions we now create five responses instead of four. We heard from instructional designers that the best practice is to provide five possible responses, so we have made a small update to incorporate that best practices into AI generated assessment questions. The increased number of answer choices reduces the ability to guess the correct question and increases the quality of the exam.
Learn more about Generative Assessments.
Experience SSO for Smoother Client Access (Intellum Platform - Feature)
- We have improved the ease with which clients can navigate between their instance of Intellum and Intellum Experience. Now, when a client clicks on an Intellum Experience article link, they will see a newly designed flow where they can enter their client account domain, be directed to their account’s authentication and then seamlessly access content that has been shared with them. This authentication will persist until the client’s browser cookies and cache are reset. Clients with Evolve only will also see log in instructions. This updated flow reduces the friction experienced when accessing shared content on the Intellum Experience site.
Learning Objectives: API V3 Support (Intellum Platform - Update)
- Learning Objectives are now supported by API V3, allowing admins to create, update and delete Learning Objectives on a course.
Learning Objectives: Imports and Integrations Support (Intellum Platform - Update)
- Adds Learning Objectives as a new column to the Courses import, allowing admins to import Learning Objectives to activities in bulk.
Learn more about bulk activity imports.
Learning Objectives: Report (Intellum Platform - Update)
- Provides admins with a new, Learning Objectives report where Learning Objectives that are part of courses can be reported on. Fields include Activity data along with the Learning Objectives for that activity.
Learn more about reports and reporting.

Note: we have not marked this component as ‘Accessible’ in the editor as it is awaiting auditing by our external auditors.

Gen AI Audio Support and Enhanced Evolve Support (Intellum Labs - Feature)
We’re continuing to improve our AI Labs features.
- In addition to supporting Video content, we now support the ability to generate AI Assessments and Learning Objectives based on the content in Audio files. This capability is behind a feature flag and can be turned on by speaking with your Relationship Manager.
We have also improved our support for Intellum Evolve with our Intellum Platform AI features.
Previously we looked at the content body and display title components within a course to generate learning objectives and assessment questions. With this update, our AI now looks at every Evolve course component when generating learning objectives and assessment questions.
Evolve Cloud Sync courses are now supported as a content type for AI Learning Objectives and Generative Assessments. This makes it easy to update objectives and questions when changes are made in Evolve. Once Cloud Sync updates the course in the Platform, an admin can engage the AI to create new assessment questions or new learning objectives.
Learn more about Intellum Labs features.

Restricted Admins Authorization Error (Intellum Platform - Bug Fix)
Restricted Admins without content or video permissions were receiving an authorization issue when navigating to the admin menu, even if they had access to reports, events, and/or training accounts. This error has been fixed and all RAs will now be able to access the admin menu for their areas of responsibility without issue.
August 27
SCORM 2004 Interaction Tracking (Intellum Evolve - Feature)
For courses published as SCORM 2004, Evolve now supports 'interaction tracking' for MCQ and GMCQ question components.
Interaction tracking is a feature of SCORM that allows for the recording and reporting of learners' responses to questions, giving you access to information such as the following:
What question was answered (and which question bank it came from, if relevant) and when it was answered
Whether a question was answered correctly or not
The answer(s) the learner selected and the answer(s) they should have selected
To enable this feature all you need to do is publish your course as SCORM 2004 (either 3rd or 4th Edition). Should you not want to use interaction tracking for any reason, you can disable it in the advanced publish settings.
Lightbox Image Accessibility Improvement (Intellum Evolve - Update)

On-demand video makes it possible to create a growing repository of reference and standalone video content, available to learners to access self-serve.
- Personalized Learning Experiences - Reinforces self-directed learning by allowing learners to enroll in live events, favorite videos for easy access later, and follow video topics to get notified when new, related videos are added.
